Maybe I was being too optimistic about starting up a business as there is a plenty of hard work involved and some expense before things start to take off. There is always research to do into competitors and websites to compare and designs to create. I have my business cards- is that not enough?? Seemingly no - there are resources to be bought and internet presence to be sought!
So while I am waiting for this all to happen - I like to do a daily picture of something I see often and today again it was the quality of the clouds which inspired me and this is the result. It was done simply and quickly and I like the quick impression rather than the long study.  So here it is - cartoon clouds. The only problem in this programme is drawing a straight line - its almost impossible! It is the beauty of this world which I try to capture in a quick impression and usually I see the most beauty at the beach with all the changes in the weather. For example one day you can't even see the island of Arran then next day it is so clear you can make out houses on it!! I really must try to focus on something else other than clouds next time!

It is the  first day of the school holidays -"Hooray"- say all the teachers and the pupils!
I have a few projects to do in the holidays and one of them is to set up a small business making dog collars , leads doggy cushions and also small doggy bags for owners to carry dog biscuits or poop bags in!  I think it is important to channel your skills into a profitable business idea.
We bought a sewing machine a week ago as Gordon wanted to make a hobbit cloak for Sam! It was made on Saturday and I took Sam round the shops with it on. I got some funny looks when I shouted "Sam" at this hooded little creature. Well he did look like a hobbit and his name is Sam! He loves the cloak and some of our friends want one - as does Gordon.  Anyway the lady who sold us the sewing machine made dog collars and was making a fortune every month from orders on the internet. So its a challenge for me and I already have a customer a dog breeder who is giving way eight business cards for me.   Ooops I had better go and order these now!!!Set up a web site and Bob's your uncle - a new business just like that!!!
