Well on my walks over the last few days - I saw a few amazing images. The beach was lovely and filled with Glasgow Fare folk and various types of boats contrasted with the lovely skies and haze over the sea.
The most stunning  images though were the ones I saw made for public viewing by some graffiti artists.  As you know my walk with the dogs takes me past some railway sidings. Some days there are carriages covered in the most bright and meaningful art I have seen for years.  It is almost like a travelling art gallery which changes every week. I contrast with a rather insipid piece of graffiti which was sprayed on a beach wall and just said the person's name. It was removed by a council worker who had to roller paint it grey then magnolia again.  Fair enough it was an eyesore and about as inspiring as a large seagull poop!
On the other hand the images I see on the tankers are delightful to the eye!

Today I tried to look beyond the initial visual impact and look for any symbols I recognised.
I saw some dates 2009 and 2007.  I saw tags and a copyright symbol!  The colours used were very bright and blue was used with a yellow outline.  My favourite one had a large skull within the name the person was writing. This really stuck out to me and caught my eye and a lot of white was used.  The colours are limited to what ever colour one can buy  at the local paint spray outlet and even though they were limited the work was  bright and eye catching. There was a Japanese influence in one image - thus showing an understanding of art  and I could see that the skills of these artist are brought out in this work and wonder if they find this therapeutic in any way! I as the viewer find some of this art inspiring and again wish these artist all the best !

Well you may wonder what my image is about.. It is about hayfever. The symbols of the small flowers and pollen and the colour green are obvious signs of pollen etc.  The pink things represent the swollen and puffy eyes, nose and throat I get when I have hayfever ( and the sneezing) ! It's awful -  thank goodness for antihistamine or my life would be sad!
