I recently attended a presentation by a well - know Indian Artist called Tushar Joag.
www.unicellwpg.com and was inspired by what he said.  He had completed his Masters degree in art and wondered what was the point to art!  He lived in India and was angry at how the people of his land suffered. He began to use his art as a way to raise people's awareness of how awful the government were to the society they were meant to help.
In particular he raised awareness of how people had to travel in dangerous conditions in overcrowded railways.  This way of thinking seems to reflect the theories of John Baldacchino who suggests that art can remain vibrant if art takes on a state of Impasse. He says that "impasse begins to suggest ways of understanding why we need to act in terms of art where learning and culture are no mere vehicles or instruments, but where they are shared as critical horizons marked by paradox." Pg 178
Therefore after much thinking I began to see how my art may move forward.  I have always found that humour gets through to people as does parody.
Here some images based on these themes.

This image is based on the awful weather we are having!

This is called black bag and golf tees. I just picked up the debris found on the golf course and put them together as a collage. I like the bright colours and contrasting black shiny  bag I found and think they do work well together.
This is just a statement of the changes I see in the image outside of my window..
